What Is Short Sale Process?

A short sale is when a seller sells a home for less than they own a lender. A short sale can be the most complicated legal real estate deals of all.

Considering a Short Sale?

Step One: Consult a Lawyer and CPA. Period.
These deals have many issues for both seller and buyer. We strongly recommend seeing both a lawyer and CPA due to the fact there are both legal issues and tax issues in every short sale. Knowing where you stand before you begin is critical. A licensed real estate agent is not licensed in these areas and cannot advise you.

Step Two: Once you’ve consulted your lawyer and CPA, find a real estate agent that knows the short sale process and help you navigate through it.
